Snow melting

Yup, the snow is melting!

I think it's nice to watch the snow melt.  To watch solid turn to liquid and stream away.  This past week, we've had spectacular, sunny days.  In weather like this, the snow is melting fast enough for me.  But there are others who share my Cityscape that can't get rid of the white stuff fast enough.  As soon as the end of winter draws near, they are out there hacking the blocks of icy snow with their shovels, hastening the spring if only by a few hours.   

And, if you look carefully, there are the first signs of green!

I also hasten the spring in a my own way - by taking a few sprigs of lilac into the warm house to watch shoots grow, as you see .....
