Seeds!

The Primulas are here! On Friday they filed the pavement outside our local florist.  I love the arrival of the Primulas because they come with the sun in the end of February! To me they are such a promise and reassurance that spring will come - so when I by them - which I do every February - I by the seasons first seeds as well. This year we start of with tomatoes, garlic , basil and strawberries. It is a bit to early for my Nasturtiums yet- but, OH! - the joy of getting our hands black with soil!

I have been saving milk cartoons for seedlings for a few weeks now, and Their somewhat messy appearance in the kitchen windowsill just make me smile. The thought of them filling up with little seedlings are so nice!

Strawberry seeds ... summer!

We also planted cress that sprouts really, really fast!

The tomatoes and the garlic get to go into the ceramic pots. The garlic sprouts are so delicious in salads, cut like spring onions.

The front hall will be so exiting to pas through the next couple of weeks with these seeds starting to sprout and more being planted. I have great plans for the garden at the Island this summer!

And who says you can't follow the seasons from your forth floor city apartment?

Have a great week!

I love this post! Such nice photos and great that you let little baby A join you in the making!

What seeds are you using? I highly recommend to start buying organic seeds - they taste better, are better for the environment and all that. :) I can e-mail you some links to the Swedish stores we use!

I love to get my hands dirty in the soil, too. I hardly ever wear gardening gloves! I'm sure your windowsill looks lovely!
